How to reach the Galactic Championship
Earn 100 Season Two Qualifier Points across Planetaries, Sector Qualifiers, Opens and the season’s Regional Championship to reach Day 1 of the Galactic Championship main.
The path
A simple ladder — start at step 1 and climb.
- Planetary Qualifiers — Local competitive tier; QP scales with attendance (season cap 500 QP from Planetaries).
- Sector Qualifiers & Opens — Two-day Sectors (four per set) plus Open Events for more QP.
- Regional Championship — One per season (Europe in Season Two), opposite timeline to Galactic.
- 100 QP → Galactic — Day 1 main invite; venue tickets are separate.
In plain English
Fantasy Flight’s Season Two goal is 100 Qualifier Points (QP) for a Day 1 invitation to the Galactic Championship main tournament. QP come from Planetary Qualifiers (Top 4 always; Top 8 at 33+ players; Top 16 at 65+; 500 QP season cap from Planetaries only), Sector Qualifiers (four per main set), Open Events, and the single season Regional Championship. The 2027 Galactic Championship is May 21–23 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. Event tickets (General through Prestige) go on sale separately from main-tournament qualification — tickets alone do not put you in the main.
What to do
- Grind Planetaries
Play store-level Planetary Qualifiers. QP now scale with player count, but you can’t bank more than 500 QP from Planetaries for the season.
- Hit Sectors and Opens
Sector Qualifiers are the big two-day stops (Baltimore, Melbourne, Minneapolis, Wrocław and more on our calendar). Open Events run alongside Sectors and other majors for extra QP.
- Regional Championship
Season Two has one Regional Championship, held in Europe on the opposite seasonal timeline from Galactic. It awards a large QP payout.
- 100 QP + buy your badge
Hit 100 QP for the Day 1 main invite. Separately buy a Galactic Championship ticket when sales open (Nov 13, 2026, 10 AM CT for 2027). Global Top 32 on the QP leaderboard get offered paid flight and hotel.
