In plain English

Magic’s top table is the World Championship (World Championship 33 is at MagicCon Amsterdam in December 2027). Most paper players climb through Regional Championship Qualifiers into Regional Championships, then into Pro Tours. Worlds invitations also come from prior Worlds Top finishes, Limited Championship results, Arena and Magic Online championships, Regional Champions (and runners-up in select regions), Pro Tour Top 8 / high match-point finishes, and the Adjusted Match Points standings.

What to do

  1. Start at RCQs

Play Regional Championship Qualifiers at WPN stores and destination events. Top finishers earn a seat at the next Regional Championship for that Pro Tour cycle.

  2. Regional Championships

Each cycle of Regionals feeds a Pro Tour. Top finishers get Pro Tour invites. Regional Champions — and the runner-up in the United States, Europe, Canada and Japan — earn Worlds invitations for that season’s World Championship.

  3. Pro Tours

Finish in the Top 8 or with enough match points (commonly cited as 36+ / 12-4 style finishes depending on the season’s published policy) to earn a Worlds invite. Rolling Adjusted Match Points from recent Pro Tours also award invites and keep you on the Pro Tour.

  4. Other lanes

Arena Championships and Magic Online Champions Showcases award Pro Tour and Worlds invites. Hall of Fame members get one Pro Tour invite per season.
